Back in February of 2015 I wrote a satirical article titled “Paperwork Reduction” with the goal of showing how a good idea can lead to a sprawling government “make work” department that starts out with a noble goal and metastasizes  into a “forever” deep state bureaucracy.  The people working in this bureaucracy are not evil.  Mostly good folks like you and I doing a job to make a living and hoping the job will never go away and they can retire to a comfortable old age. 

What gets lost in the process is what is actually being accomplished and what is the end result of their efforts in the way of practical “stuff” that benefits the lives of we citizens?  Our governments, federal, state and even local have many such departments, agencies, bureaus etc. which started out with a perceived need to solve a problem and have grown into behemoth monsters that consume huge amounts of tax dollars to operate and produce little or no tangible results from their original goal and charter.

Just to mention a couple:  1. The 158 Billion Dollar a year Department of Energy  which was formed in 1977 and was originally tasked with making the United States Energy independent.  After 40+ years of effort, we achieved energy independence for only a short period of time when the department got out of the way of private enterprise.  2. The 88 Billion Dollar a year Federal Department of Education was formed in 1980.  Why do they exist?  Education should be a state function.  There are many others.  Many of these departments and agencies have budgets in the Tens of Billions of Dollars and employees in the Tens of Thousands or more.  Ever wonder why our nations “Debt Clock” is at 32 Trillion Dollars and growing?

Do any of the above noted government departments put groceries on our table, gas in our tanks or pay our rent?  You can say yes if you get your paycheck from them.  Otherwise the tax money they take from you to run these agencies only makes the cost for these necessities of life more expensive for you.  Remember, these agencies and departments don’t make anything you wear, eat or drive around in.  They don’t have to make a profit or justify why they are there.

So, just for fun, and keeping the above in mind, I again share the following “oldie but goodie” asking only if you can justify, beyond keeping some folks employed, what this imaginary department actually accomplishes “at the end of the day” as far as the stated goal for its existence?

PAPERWORK REDUCTION

Just imagine: 

Last night I dreamed that I was working in the California State Department of Paperwork Reduction.

A wonderful place to work that was a model of diversity.  We had one of every race, creed, gender, nationality, religion, mental and physical handicap and everything else you can imagine.  Even different political parties were represented though it was rumored that the token Republican had not been seen in a while and was possibly in a 24 step recovery program.  This is California after all.

We also had employees whose only job was to act as interpreters for employees engaged in conversations in different languages.

The mission of our department is to reduce the excessive use of paper within California to help in the war against Global Climate Change.  Three Hundred and Fifty, dedicated to the cause employees occupying four floors of a state office building in Sacramento.  Working diligently three, sometimes four days a week depending on holidays, vacations, jury duty, sick leave, comp time etc.

To fulfill our mission our job is to produce a 172 page workbook every year that is to be mailed to every place of business in California.  The title of this workbook is: YOUR PLACE IN PAPERWORK REDUCTION.

Within the information packed workbook will be a snap out set of forms (12 pages) which is to be copied and distributed to every employee at each place of business. Each employee is to fill out the 12 page questionnaire, sign it, copy it and then mail back the original to the California State Department of Paperwork Reduction for tabulation and completion of a 1500 page report which is to be distributed annually to all other State Departments.

In addition a copy of the 1500 page tabulated “Final Report” will be sent to each of the businesses within California who participated.

What could possibly go wrong?  This is government at work.

I can remember as a young man how I loved to visit San Francisco which was kind of the “Jewel of California”.  Union Square, Cable Cars, China Town, Pier 39, Coit Tower, Flowers and Greenery.  The City was clean, filled with life and a joy to visit.  In those days you dressed up to visit Union Square.  Sport Coat or Suit.  Ties were required in most Restaurants and if you didn’t have one they would loan you one. Laws were enforced and you felt safe on the bustling streets.

Today San Francisco is in the end stages of becoming a “Hell Hole” of drugs, crime, filth, debris, tents and broken lives.  It was reported that the remaining businesses in the downtown area had to go back to providing elevator operators because the cities homeless were using the elevators as public toilets.  Businesses  are struggling and many shutting down and leaving because of unpunished criminal activity including theft and rampant vandalism.  California passed a law that theft of property of less than $950 in value is only a misdemeanor and punishable by a citation only.  Police report that they sometimes do not write the citations as there is no follow-up or consequences for the thieves who just laugh and tear them up.

Leaving San Francisco, Gavin the Destroyer moved on to the Governor’s Mansion and is doing to the rest of California what he did to San Francisco.  Many, most of California’s major cities, including the State Capitol in Sacramento are turning into homeless camps plagued with crime, filth, drugs and broken lives.  In Sacramento, the area around the County Courthouse became an area of public drinking, drugs, sex acts, camp fires, filth and criminal acts to the point the presiding judge pleaded with the mayor that something “has to be done”.  The mayor responded by attempting to move as many of the street people as possible into tents in a nearby public park which they will convert into a dump in a very few days or weeks.

Californian’s, those with the resources to do so, are fleeing the state in record numbers.  Housing is literally unaffordable for a vast number of people.  In the Sacramento area an average apartment can rent for $2,500 a month.  With first and last months rent and a security deposit of $2,500 it can cost a total of $7,500 to get into an apartment – plus utility deposits.

You have turned the former GOLDEN STATE into a sanctuary for criminals, drug users and their Cartel suppliers, illegal and “undocumented” migrants from around the world, border to border homeless encampments filled with filth and trash, George Soros paid for “do nothing” law enforcement and small children can be mutilated in the “cause” of Gender change on the recommendation of a teacher with an agenda and without parental consent or knowledge.  In California the drivers license application has a place where you can check you “Decline to State” your citizenship status.

California State Senator Scott Weiner – San Francisco

I once heard that Aphids are born pregnant and no mating takes place to produce the next generation.  On researching this I found it is true and that Aphids are virtually alone in the “Critter World” with this abilty.   Aside from Aphids, reproduction is the exclusive product of a male of a species and a female of a species being required to produce the next generation of a species.  That very much includes we human beings.  No “hanky-Panky”, no reproduction and what follows is Species Extinction.

We now live in a generation where the above biological fact is being challenged by the LGBTQ+ and its affiliates, the WOKE Crowd, including The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Transgender Fanatics and even the Drag Queen Culture. 

Challenge it all they want, the Scientific, Medical and Biological fact is that for reproduction to happen there are two and only two genders (unless you are an Aphid) and both are required to continue the species or you are at a Darwinian “Dead End”.  In the WOKE Universe there may be 29 or more genders but in medicine and science there are only two genders  and it takes both of them to make reproduction of the species happen.

If we were all to convert to a strict LGBTQ+ lifestyle and live it, we would be the last generation and humanity would be extinct within less than 100 years.  If you keep all the Roosters in one pen and all the Hens in another pen, you don’t get any new Chickens. 

Not all of the participants in this  new WOKE LGBTQ+ Culture are radical.  There are many Gay & Lesbian members who live quiet, productive lives, are hardworking, good neighbors and friends and keep their sexuality private.  There are others who demand loudly and persistently that you not only accept them but also embrace their lifestyle and celebrate it with them.  Loudly, graphically and in ways that offend many/most of those who do not share their values      

The radical WOKE/LGBTQ+ community and the fanatic Transgender “Storm Troopers” have figured out that to keep from becoming extinct and a footnote in the history books they are going to have to recruit new members to their “Cause”. 

A “soft target” filled with gullible, malleable, trusting little minds for them to accomplish their goals is the nations Grade Schools. “Young skulls full of mush, ready for the planting and early harvesting.”  Accordingly they have been on a campaign to infiltrate grade schools with committed teacher activists to groom, indoctrinate and prey on the innocence of grade school children to transition them to the LGBTQ+/Transgender lifestyle. This they accomplish with the full co-operation of schools and teachers unions who also provide a screen to keep parents of these children in the dark as to what is happening.  

Compounding the above we have government becoming accomplices in this plan by making laws to prevent parents from having any “say” in what happens to their own children.  States like California are being followed by States like Minnesota and others in doing the bidding of these fanatics.  We also have representatives like the above State Senator from San Francisco – Scott Weiner – proposing amendments to existing law (Senate Bill 407) to not allow Foster Parents within the State of California to Foster Children without “signing on” to support “Gender Transition Care” for Foster Children in their care.  Under his bill the placing of Foster Children in homes where there is belief that pharmaceutical and surgical transitioning of children is wrong would not be permitted because “Faith Based” or other objection would be a “Hostile Environment”.

I believe that CHILDREN are not prepared or ready to make life altering decisions at a young age and should be prevented from pharmaceutical or surgical “Gender Care” until they are at least 18 years of age.  We do not allow them to drink, buy guns, drive cars, join the military or many other activities when they are CHILDREN for a good reason.  To recruit them into Gender decisions when they are young is no less than monstrous and ought to be prohibited in law,  and, up till recently, I thought it was.

If you agree, we need to fight this every way possible.  Talk to your family, friends, neighbors.  Send letters and make calls to your elected representatives.  Attend school board meetings.  Share information like this with those in your email directory.  Post on Facebook, Twitter etc. your own thoughts and share like articles.  What is happening is destroying young lives and childhood.

EVER WONDER WHY GOVERNMENT HOMELESS PLANS DON’T WORK?

IT IS GOVERNMENTS FIRST RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE IT’S CITIZENS WITH A SAFE, CLEAN ENVIRONMENT – SO WHY DO THEY FAIL IN THE FACE OF A HOMELESS EPIDEMIC?

Cities, Counties and States keep coming up with multi-million dollar plans to “Solve the Homeless Crises” but invariably after all the dollars  are spent,  the money disappears and there are more, not less homeless on the streets.  Why?

The easy answers as to why Government Homeless Programs don’t work are well known and I will get them out of the way first.  First, Government always seems to want to solve problems by throwing money at them, most of which gets eaten up in bureaucracy, waste and a lack of accountability.  Second, Government programs invariably fail to truly deal with the underlying cause of the problem and instead use these programs to say “Look how much I care by helping create this big pool of money to fix the problem”. 

The real reason these programs invariably fail is because politicians; Mayors, Governors, Legislators and City, County and other “Public Servants”, have no real personal incentive in solving the problem.  Creating media coverage and authorizing huge amounts of money to be doled out to their political supporters through the Multi-Million Dollar “Programs” makes their supporters rich and some of that money finds its way back into their own political coffers.  Most of the money gets paid out to “Consultants”, “Experts”, “Contractors”, “Specialists”, “Administrators”, “Staff”. etc. etc..  A year later the money is all gone, there are more homeless than there were before the program began and the politicians are back saying “We just didn’t spend enough to solve the problem and here is our new plan which will cost a “Gazillion” more Dollars but this time it will work.”  “Trust us”.

Understand, these “programs” are “Cash Cows” and if their plans worked we wouldn’t need to fund their next “Program” because the problem has been solved and so…..  no more endless pool of money for their supporters and benefactors to draw from.  The “Cash Cow” dies.  Rule #1 for “Smart Politicians” is NEVER kill a “Cash Cow”.

This is happening across the country, from Seattle to New York and up and down the State of California including San Francisco, Los Angeles and many other cities.  I live near Sacramento and we have had several years of multi-million dollar plans, all of which have not worked.  Intentional or unintentional, all these plans are a scam which costs the taxpayer without solving the homeless problem.

JUST FOR CONTRAST HERE IS BOB’S PLAN TO REDUCE HOMELESSNESS 

1.  City streets, sidewalks and all public areas to be safe, clean and sanitary at all times.  Hosed down/washed clean on an unannounced irregular schedule as needed.

2. Strict law enforcement against public drunkenness, drug use, urination, “defecating”, aggressive “panhandling” and obscenity (nudity).

3. No general welfare funds without verifiable certificate of being tested drug free or active, current certification in rehabilitation drug or alcohol program. No exceptions.

4. If you don’t like my rules, leave town and look for greener pastures somewhere else.

The Mayor’s 100 Million Dollar Homeless Plan

Almost two years ago Sacramento, California Mayor Darrell Steinberg and the City Council approved a 22.5 Million Dollar one year plan for Sacramento’s homeless.  The plan was to provide housing and beds for some 750 homeless.  (Search “Tweedledum & Tweedledee” on this site) At the time I calculated that the cost per proposed homeless recipient to be $29,605 per person assisted and questioned if any of these decision makers owned a calculator.

“Mayor Steinberg also approved tiny apartments in a renovated old downtown hotel, which cost more than $445,000 per unit for about 250 square feet of living space, as the Globe reported. This project only benefitted the union contractors.” (see California Globe Aug. 6, 2021)

The homeless problem has continued to grow worse, not better.

Now Major Steinberg and the City Council has approved a 100 Million Dollar plan on a unanimous City Council vote.

This plan is targeting about 9,000 people living on the streets and byways of downtown Sacramento.

A SPIN CITY NARRATIVE

Conrad Blowhard is the Mayor of Spin City, California.  His city has become infested with homeless encampments and vagrants numbering in the thousands.  To some this would seem a problem but Mayor Blowhard sees an opportunity.  

He will convince his City Council that in an effort to help the homeless and decrease their numbers on the cities streets and alleys he would like them to pass a funding bill in the amount of 80 Million Dollars with the proceeds dedicated to renovating a dilapidated, nearly abandoned hotel down on “Skid Row” and convert it’s 80 rooms into housing for the homeless.  The City Council passes the funding request and pats themselves on the back for “caring” about the homeless.

Closed bidding contracts are let out to major contractors who are supporters and donors to the Mayor for the work to be done.  A ceremonial event is held at the Foggy Bottom Hotel with the Mayor swinging a sledge hammer through a faded door of a shoddy 200 square foot room in front of live television cameras.  Everybody applauds.

Work begins.  Some effort is made to rid the building of most of the rats, termites and other vermin which infest it.  The leaking roof is patched.  Contractors workers “freshen up” the rooms with new paint, carpet, updated (cheap) fixtures from China and new window coverings.  Cost per room renovated is $400,000.  In addition, the hotel gets a new name:  “NEW BEGINNING’S” and a single fresh coat of exterior paint. 

Grand Opening Day arrives.  Brass Bands and Ribbon Cutting.  Mayor Blowhard and City Council members make grandiose speeches about how they have solved the cities Homeless Crisis.  A few ragged homeless people are seen entering the building to take occupancy of their renovated 200 square foot “apartments”.

The Mayor’s handpicked contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers go out and spend their profits on new boats, sports cars and luxury vacations but not forgetting to “tithe” back some of those profits to the Majors campaign re-election coffers.

The 80 “new” tenants of the once dilapidated hotel settle in and begin the task of de-renovation on the hotel to turn it back into a Skid Row Manor.  

The whole process is “spun” as a huge success and praise and credit is layered on all who participated in the project.  What could possibly go wrong.  Housing was provided, at least temporarily, for 80 homeless people for only 80 Million Dollars.  “WINK – WINK”.

TOO MANY POLITICIANS SEE HOMELESSNESS NOT AS A PROBLEM BUT AN OPPORTUNITY.

I will start this piece with a statement.  I am not a “Gay” hater.  Have had numerous friends who were Gay and lived their lives quietly.  In addition, I have nothing but sympathy for the less than 1% of the population who are clinically diagnosed with Transgender Dysphoria.   We should all be able to live at peace with one another.

But, just as there are those on the radical extreme Political left and Political right, so too, there are those within the LGBTQ+ community who are radical extremists who are not content with acceptance of their chosen lifestyle in a quiet way but demand social change and public adoration. 

A friend asked me recently why the radical Transgender movement is targeting our children in grade school. After some thought I believe it can be explained with a couple of facts.

The LGBTQ+ community in a natural environment is not conducive to reproduction by normal methods.  Unless they adopt or artificially inseminate prospective “reproducers” they are in a sort of “Darwin” dead end.  The vast majority within this community do not form “traditional family units” with progeny playing in the front yard.  

You will note that when they dance in the streets chanting “We’re Here – We’re Queer and we are coming for your children”, they are not dancing in the streets chanting “We’re Here – We’re Queer and we’re here with our children”  There are none.

So what to do?  With a virtual zero birth rate new members must be found and recruited. 

I recently publicly  challenged the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” to “grow a pair” and mock Islam and Mohammed in the same way they mock the Catholic Church and Christianity but so far they have not taken me up on the challenge.  I assume they do not believe the Islamic fields are ripe for the harvest of new LGBTQ+ members.  

Hmmm!  Where can the WOKE – Radical Activist LGBTQ+ – Transgender “Crowd”  find a group of vulnerable, innocent, trusting, not sophisticated, impressionable potential candidates for their agenda?  How about Grade School with its young, captive audience?

Here is a plan.   Take radical extremist young LGBTQ+ activists, fresh out of “Progressive” colleges and have them become grade school teachers.  Preferably in “Progressive” “Woke” states like California where they can groom and indoctrinate their young targets minds in the “WOKE” agenda without fear of “Parental” interference (Parental challenges to “curriculum” are not allowed in California schools), sexualize them at a young age with graphically illustrated books, entertain them with “Drag Queens” and introduce them to the “alternate” lifestyle.  These same teachers and administrators can also help them identify as “Transgender” candidates at 6-10 years old and then assist them, without “Parental” knowledge or agreement to get the “Puberty Blockers” and other pharmaceuticals they need.  Even surgery such as castration and mastectomies.  All state sanctioned and provided for.  All without parental knowledge or approval.

In California, and I am told other states, what used to be considered “Parents” are now looked on only as “Breeders” and their progeny now legal property of the “State” who can require they be put into “State” regulated schools with “State” licensed Teachers, many of whom have been totally “Woken-ized”.  Like putting lambs in a pasture guarded by wolves.

On the plains of Africa, predator’s, for example Lion’s, prey on the herd animals, like Gazelle’s , by attacking the weak and very young.  Many call this “Thinning the Herd”.

We do not allow children to play in the street, buy guns, drive automobiles, vote, serve in the military, drink alcoholic beverages, sign contracts or any one of a long list of other things because they do not have the life experience or maturity to make good decisions.  They are not ready for sexualization.  Those who try to manipulate, groom and indoctrinate them in sexuality are committing a monstrous act of child abuse and endangerment.

As I said at the start, I don’t hate Gay’s or anybody else for that matter.  Adults can make their own decisions and be responsible for them.  My focus is on keeping our nations children safe!

Those Activist LGBTQ+/Transgender predators who groom and target  children with sexuality, gender transition and mutilation are the enemy.  They are stealing the joys of childhood innocence, often causing irreparable harm to the child, pain and grief for their parents and family.  They are guilty of a great crime.  They deserve to be punished most severely.

I have but one goal, to save as many children as possible from being victims of sexualization,  gender transition and  mutilation by these fanatics!  If you agree please share this with as many friends, neighbors and family members as you can!

THE TRANSGENDER CULT

Many sources now claim that this Transgender “mania” sweeping the country has become America’s new “Religion” and it requires we “bow down” to its creed or face being “cancelled”. 

The Transgender Theology is based on the doctrine that you can be your own God and decide what gender you want to be.  This is a Big Lie and any first year Biology Student knows that you can mutilate your body, attempt to attach new body parts, change your wardrobe, infuse any and all manner of chemicals and do anything else you can think of but, at the end of the day you cannot change your DNA or your basic biology.

California seems to have been especially infected and on the verge of complete capitulation to the Transgender Cult “Holy” ordinances.  There is now pending in the State Legislature legislation that would criminalize as a felony, any parental “interference” in the gender transition of a child by pharmaceutical or surgical means.  In other words, if the parent of a minor child tries to prevent the castration or mutilating of their own child they can face being charged as a felon and possible prison time.

If this legislation passes and, as a parent, your Johnny or Mary has a Transgender Activist and predator grade school teacher who convinces the little nine year old that they would be happier by changing gender, this teacher can “make it happen” without parental consent or “interference” under penalty of California law.  You see, California has previously created a law that says they have jurisdiction over minor children in the state.  Put another way, your children are property of the State of California in legal and health matters and they consider “Gender Care” a matter under their jurisdiction.  Puberty Blockers, Castration, Mastectomies, whatever it takes, the State of California would have final say, not parents.

I am horrified by this and the thought of placing our most precious and vulnerable children in the hands of a teacher or bureaucrat with a “New Religion” agenda to make permanent and life altering changes in their lives makes me sick and angry beyond words. 

I am hearing and seeing in the news that other states are working on or considering similar legal positions.  If we want this horror to stop, all of us must confront our legislators and elected officials as well as local school boards and demand that they not prey on our children.  We must do it fearlessly, tirelessly and consistently.  Class action lawsuits could be a method of deterrence as well as punitive lawsuits for damages against individual “groomers”, “activists” and “predators”. 

Our children are our most precious asset and bond with the future.  If you agree with this article, share it with as many others as possible including the above mentioned legislators, elected officials and school boards.  Do it now.  In some places tomorrow may already be too late for the damage they are causing.
